Draft, pending legal review

This is a plain-English draft that a lawyer hasn’t reviewed yet. Details marked [to be confirmed] are still being confirmed.

The short version

  • We collect what you give us when you book an audit or email us, plus basic technical logs.
  • We use it to run your audit, send your written plan and reply to you.
  • This site doesn’t use advertising cookies or analytics tools.

Who we are

This website is run by Automation Results (legal name: [to be confirmed]). We build done-for-you automations for other businesses. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Automation Results.

This policy covers this website and the free automation audit. Work we do for paying clients is covered by the written agreement for that work, not by this policy.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to run your audit and talk to you.

When you book an audit

Your name, your email address, the time you pick and anything you add to the booking notes, such as your company or the work you’d like to automate. Bookings are handled through Cal.com. We keep a copy of your booking details in our own database so we can prepare for the call and follow up.

When you send us a message

Your name, your email address, your company if you add it, and your message. To limit spam, we also store a one-way code made from your internet address, never the address itself.

When you email us

Your email address, your message and anything you attach.

During your audit call

Notes we take about your workflows and the tools you use, so we can write your plan.

We don’t record the call unless we ask first and you agree. [to be confirmed]

When you browse the site

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically keeps basic server logs: your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and when. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure.

When you use the cost calculator

The calculator works out your estimate in your browser. What you enter goes nowhere unless you follow its link to book an audit. Then your numbers and the business type you picked travel in the page address, so the booking page can show the same estimate. Page addresses can appear in server logs.

When the booking calendar loads, we pass your business type and estimate to Cal.com so they appear in your booking notes. We pass only those two things, never your name or contact details, and you can edit or delete the notes before you book.

Please don’t send us passwords or sensitive personal information, such as health or financial account details, through the booking form or by email.

How we use it

We use your information to:

  • Schedule and run your audit, and send your written plan.
  • Reply to your messages and follow up about your audit.
  • Keep the site working and secure.
  • Keep records the law requires, for example if you become a client.

We won’t add you to a newsletter or marketing list unless you ask. [to be confirmed]

Legal bases (UK and EU visitors)

Privacy laws in the UK and EU ask us to name a legal basis for each use. Ours are:

  • Steps you ask us to take before a possible agreement: booking and running your audit, and sending your plan.
  • Legitimate interests: replying to you, following up about your audit and keeping the site secure. We weigh these against your rights.
  • Legal obligation: records we have to keep by law.
  • Consent: anything optional we ask your permission for. You can withdraw it at any time.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the site and the audit. They handle it for us, under their own terms and security practices:

  • Cal.com, which runs our booking calendar. See Cal.com’s privacy policy.
  • Our hosting provider ([to be confirmed]), which runs this website and keeps its server logs.
  • Our database provider (Supabase), which stores booking details and the messages you send through this site.
  • Our email provider ([to be confirmed]), which runs our inbox.
  • Our call provider ([to be confirmed]), which runs the audit call.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.

We don’t sell your personal information or share it for advertising. [to be confirmed]

Some of these providers may store or process information outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on the safeguards they provide for these transfers.

Cookies and analytics

This site doesn’t set advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookies it may use are ones strictly needed for it to work.

We don’t currently use any analytics tools.

When you open the booking calendar, Cal.com may set its own cookies so booking works. Those are covered by Cal.com’s own policy.

How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as we need it for the reasons above.

  • Booking details, messages and emails, if you don’t become a client: [to be confirmed].
  • Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited time, under its own policy.
  • If you become a client, we keep records for as long as the law requires, for example for tax and accounting.

When we no longer need information, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • See the information we hold about you, and get a copy.
  • Correct anything that’s wrong.
  • Ask us to delete it.
  • Object to, or limit, how we use it.
  • Withdraw consent you’ve given.
  • Not be treated differently for using any of these rights.

To make a request, email [to be confirmed]. We may need to confirm who you are first, and we’ll reply within the time the law gives us.

If you’re in the UK or EU, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. California residents have similar rights under California law, including the right to know what we collect and to ask us to delete it.

Security and children

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Still, no website, inbox or online service is completely secure, which is why we ask you not to send passwords or sensitive details.

This site is meant for businesses, not children. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
